Sadly, one of our senior staff is retiring and we are looking for a general radiographer who is trained in mammography, or who would like to be, to join our busy team.

This position will interest you, if you:

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with some variation in start times. There is a small amount of weekend and rostered on-call work. While the majority of the work will be at our Remuera branches, the flexibility to work between Remuera, AUT Millennium in Rosedale and St Heliers is required.

Senior Medical Receptionist/Bookings Specialist

Ascot Radiology has a vacancy for a Senior Receptionist at our North Shore location. There are two parts to the role:

Receptionist / Walk-in Booking Specialist:

This involves meeting and greeting patients, processing payments, booking appointments, liaising with technicians and radiologists to ensure the examinations/procedures can take place, and;

Senior Receptionist:

As Senior Receptionist, you will oversee one team member and on some days two team members. You will ensure that our high standards and KPI’s are met, and continue to maintain great working relationships with our specialists and doctors at this location. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our facility, ordering resources, and maintaining and dealing with the everyday functions of the practice.

While the role is mainly based at our AUT Millennium branch, it is expected that the incumbent will spend time at each of our other locations that have reception facilities.

We are looking for someone with proven experience who:

  • Will provide a warm welcoming and helpful service to patients and work colleagues alike.
  • Remains calm under pressure.
  • Has experience in coaching and leading team members.
  • Has a high level of spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Is a quick learner.
  • Is able to think on their feet and shows initiative.
  • Is professionally presented.

Previous work experience in a medical practice would be highly advantageous, but not essential.

This is a demanding day by day role ensuring patients and referrers receive top service, team members are on track, and the facility is up to standard and runs smoothly.

​PET CT Receptionist & Medical Typing

Ascot Radiology has one of two PET CT scanners in Auckland. PET scans provide information about the body’s chemistry that is not available with other imaging modalities such as MRI and ultrasound. This means that doctors can detect and diagnose disease early. It also means they can monitor the treatment of a diseases such as cancer.

We are establishing a full-time role for a high level Receptionist and Medical Typist in our PET CT department. The duties will involve:

PET CT Bookings: This specialised work involves assisting patients who are making appointments by phone or in person, and on arrival for their scan. There is the need to both provide and seek information to ensure that the patient is well informed.

Reception: Meeting, greeting and assisting those patients on their arrival.

Medical Typing:Typing reports on the day of the scan.

The key requirements in this role are:

  • Excellent people skills, especially the ability to relate well to patients, providing empathy and reassurance when necessary.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Accurate typing skills.
  • A high level of spoken and written English.
  • Common sense and initiative.

The role is based at Ascot Central in Remuera. While this is a stand-alone role, you will be part of our Customer Service team. We have free parking, are five minutes from the Greenlane train station, provide a uniform and opportunities for development.
