Anthony graduated from Otago University in 1981, and from the Auckland Radiology training programme in 1987. He taught radiology in Charleston, South Carolina in the USA, before moving to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City until late1994.
His principal areas of interest are breast imaging and biopsy, MRI and musculoskeletal radiology. He has published more than two dozen papers in these fields and lectures widely in them.
In 2000, Anthony was Scientific Convenor for the RANZCR meeting in Auckland and has organised two MRI symposia and two Breast Diseases conferences. He also examines for RANZCR and runs the Auckland Radiology training programme. Anthony is also Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.
